Want to know how to find some profit potential?
Own some of the stuff society needs to function. Or, at least, the companies that make that stuff.
Metals are a great example…
But not just any metal. You ideally want one with plenty of uses that could be in short supply in the near future...
In this case, I’m talking about aluminum (aluminium for most outside of North America).
Dubbed the “Everywhere Metal” by Bloomberg, aluminum could become quite the valuable metal soon.
It’s seeing huge demand in plenty of places, but especially in China. At the same time, China’s looking to cut production of the metal for climate reasons (alongside other countries squeezing their grips tighter on pollution).
Demand up + supply down = price increase. Simple math.
Why the demand? ThyssenKrupp explains one huge reason in a vital industry:
“It is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity. Although aluminium is not as conductive as copper it is approximately a third of the weight meaning that an aluminium wire with half the weight of a copper wire would have the same amount of electrical resistance. As a result, it is the chosen material for power transmission lines. It is also an excellent conductor of heat and is used as heatsinks in a variety of applications such as LED lights, electrical products, computer motherboards, etc.”
In short, aluminium is a more efficient electricity conductor by weight than copper and an excellent heat conductor, making it great for power lines.
Of course, aluminum has several other properties making it ideal for a variety of uses:
So aluminium looks like a buy, right?
Well, not exactly. Buying aluminium futures means leveraging your account much more than options, and I want to stay away from that.
Instead, I’m going after an aluminum producer here.
This company already brought some of the best post-pandemic returns I’ve seen… but sadly, plenty of investors missed the move. That’s how it goes when everyone’s chasing the trends.
However, it looks ready to deliver excellent potential returns once again. The entry on this reminds me of my AMD move from a little while ago. We all know how that turned out — my Profit Flow Group members and I walked away with beaming smiles and heavy pockets.
